Introducing the "Camp EZ 5945"

As a landscape photographer, I found myself traveling from pricey hotels hours before sunrise to catch the "Golden Hour" of light in the mountains. Sure, I could have pitched a tent, but I'm spoiled. That thick mattress sure feels cozy on a cold morning.
A good friend and fellow photographer suggested I get a teardrop camper. A camper capable of making it through winding roads; a camper that can be pulled by a mid-sized vehicle; a camper that still had the comfort of my own bed....I'M IN!
So, in a small workshop, with just enough room for a steel frame and an idea, I went to work.

THE NAME
One major goal was to create a camper that was easy to use. So, using a $14 CAD program I picked up on eBay, I scratched out a design for a teardrop that would ultimately be 5 ft. wide by 9 ft. long by 4.5 ft. tall. Hence, the nickname Camp EZ 5945 was born.
THE DESIGN

The Camp EZ is basically a queen size bed on wheels with an outdoor kitchen. The interior, or cabin, contains a wall-to-wall mattress, and features a his and hers cabinet at the foot of the bed. The Cabin is illuminated with multiple LED lights, and is cooled by a very efficient roof-mounted fan.
In the rear of the camper, a trunk or "hatch" raises to reveal a concealed kitchen, or as teardrop enthusiasts say "galley". The galley has 4 upper cabinets and a utensil drawer for storage, and a compartment under the sink hides a waste water tank. For a refrigerator, the Camp EZ carries a YETI cooker. When it's time to cook, A small propane bottle on the exterior of the camper fuels a drawer mounted two burner cook top.
In keeping with the name, everything has to be easy "or EZ" to set up and use.
